My favorite BBQ joint before I found Hog Heaven, 5 or 6 years running. Bullock's is the typical old school local BBQ place and they have plenty of photos of famous customers on the wall to prove it. Family style service of some of the tastiest NC style barbeque you've ever had. This place is a nostalgic favorite for many Durham natives and Duke students alike. When I lived in Colorado the Denver area Duke alumni club actually had the stuff flown in for a party, addictive stuff.

Best BBQ I've tried in North Carolina. The pulled pork is juicy and the sauce is a little sweet but spicy and tangy. The fried chicken is good but the side dishes are almost worth the trip in and of themselves. The fried okra isn't homemade but I can't complain. The macaroni and cheese is legit

At least 2 locations that I know of: at Southpointe mall and off 15-501 near Foster's market. Q-Shack has a slick presentation and the BBQ is ok. Probably one of the few BBQ places in the Carolinas where you can get beef brisket and pulled pork. Good side dishes and some interesting menu items like jalapeno deviled eggs.
